David Leake

I was raised on the South Plains of Texas. My imagination has been my best tool in creating unique oil paintings. While studying Art at Texas Tech University, I was awarded a scholarship to Taos, NM, which awakened me to the basic essence of becoming an artist. After 35 years of working in the Advertising field, I am now a full time oil painter. I have showed in numerous First Friday Art Trails. My Studio and Artwork have been in the Local Color Studio Tours. You can see my Art displayed at Broadway Contemporary Fine Art Gallery, Cafe J in Lubbock, TX and The Blue Moon Art Gallery in Cimarron, NM. You will find me painting in my Studio most days of the week, or collecting images and ideas in Taos.
